After a few years break we will be returning to Mumbai with a new daily flight from London Heathrow, offering connections from India to US cities including New York, Boston, Chicago and Washington.
The first flight will launch on the 28 October 2012 with a 10:15am departure time from Heathrow and a 03:10am departure from Mumbai. The airline will commence this service with Airbus A330 aircraft which will have 33 Upper Class seats, 48 Premium Economy seats and 185 Economy seats, offering the best customer experience on the route.
After facing thinning profit margins the airline announced withdrawal of its services from Mumbai about three years ago and is now re-launching its services with Virgin Atlantic flights to Mumbai. President, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Sir Richard Branson said, “Virgin Atlantic is proud to be flying to Mumbai again, linking this wonderful city to our key destinations of London, New York, Boston and Washington. India’s phenomenal growth continues to drive travel to the UK and the USA and we know our passengers are going to love the connections the new flight offers.”
