Popular for its beaches and unique architecture, Goa has been voted as the most valued and relaxed tourist destination of the world by Loney Planet.
Goa has left imprint on peoples’ heart and mind as readers of ‘Lonely Planet’ voted Goa as the ‘best value destination in India’ and the ‘best destination for relaxation’, the state tourism said in a release issued here.
‘Lonely Planet’ magazine is popular the world over and for the first time announced the Lonely Planet magazine India Travel awards to celebrate those who provide the best travel experiences in the country.
Britons tend to book flights to Goa, and be return tourists nearly every year. Goa has fabulous beaches stretched west of India, with glorious sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, fabulous mouthwatering continental cuisine and glorious weather, it is no wonder many avail offers with cheap flights to Goa.
“Goa is making continuous efforts to encourage a steady tourist inflow and keeping our guests happy through unforgettable experiences. We are really honoured that Goa has been voted as the best destination for relaxation as well as the best value destination in the country,” Goa Director Tourism Swapnil Naik said.
The last few months has seen Goa bring home a series of awards like the ‘Best State for Beach Tourism’ at the Safari India National Tourism Awards, the ‘Best Tourism Promotion Awards’ by the International Tourism Conclave and Travel Awards to name a few.
