The airport is equipped with all the facilities of the modern world. The domestic departure terminal features a 5-star restaurant, VIP lounge, aerobridges, check-in counters, boarding gates, shops, beverage and snacks outlets; and banking, postal services and ISD/STD facilities. Even the arrival area of the domestic terminal has shops and car rental counters. Both a duty-free shop and restaurant are located in the departure hall of the international terminal while the arrivals area has a VIP lounge.

The arrival and departure sections of the terminal feature a money exchange and ISD/STD facility, snacks bar, beverage outlets and car rentals. For the convenience of passengers, a few snack bars and PCO/ISD/STD booths are just outside the international terminal arrival section. The airport provides free trolleys and wheelchairs; television in the security hold area; medical facility; assistance for the aged, physically challenged and infirm on request; and restrooms for transit passengers.

Getting to the city from your flight to Ahmedabad airport is a straightforward journey of just nine miles (15 km) to the heart of the city, which typically takes less than 30 minutes. Taxis generally take the form of auto-rickshaws or SUV taxis with the rate being negotiable. A handful of Indian car rental companies operate out of the Arrivals hall, but most international travellers opt for private taxis to get around during their stay in the city.
