Hi is travel insurance really mandatory?

Hello Anushka, you are not required to have travel insurance. Some travel agents will insist you have a policy in place before they confirm your travel, especially to countries like the USA where there is no public health service. But it is always advisable to have it in case you encounter any problem on your holiday.
