Can I keep my Indian passport after getting UK nationality?

Hi I recently got UK nationality, can I retain my Indian passport for travel to India?

Hi Inder, after acquiring the foreign citizenship your Indian passport must be surrendered at the nearest Indian visa and consular application centre for the cancellation. After getting foreign nationality you do not remain Indian and you need an Indian visa to visit India.
