Hello everyone. I am writing to ask some question as general knowledge, is it true we have to turn off phones on the plane? Can someone answer please

Hello Seema, yes that is correct. Whilst on the aircraft you must disable wireless transmission functions such as cellular voice and data. You can do so by switching to airplane mode or by turning off your device completely.

If you do not switch off your phone or forget to turn on airplane mode, then the radio frequency emitted by these electronic devices could interfere with sensitive onboard electronic systems and with cell tower networks on the ground.
